Just wanted to give credit where it is due. The designer of the FM Linear Sweep box i use is Joe who has his own ideas of how the box should work based off of it's raw audio content. It's similar to Frank Sumption's "Frank's Box" idea, but totally different in the parts make up of it. This is a simple approach using the already great idea of how we can communicate with others on the other side. Basically the radio sweeps the FM band in linear format at a fast pace to pick up fragments of audio which the other side uses to form words. The radio itself is made up of mostly Radio Shack parts and the schematic of this version of the box is posted below. You can get the same effect by manual tuning a radio with your hand across the band in rapid succession after asking a question. All the box does is automatically sweep it for me. Although i am the user of this particular box and happen to get results i had nothing to do with the design nor do i even understand the engineering of this unit. I was very interested in Frank Sumption's idea earlier this year, but didn't know how to go about getting a box made even know the schematics were posted on his site freely to try yourself. It all looked very confusing to me and the search went on the to find a person with engineering skills to provide me with a box. I stumbled across a web site and i believe it was "Haunted Voices Radio's Message Board" and saw a profile to guy named Joe which stated he was a retired engineer looking for projects to help the paranormal community. It seemed like i found a match to my search, so i just e-mailed him out of the blue and he e-mailed me right back with cost of the parts and how he would like to approach this with his own ideas based on the same goal as franks. I was thinking i hit a home run, so the project began even though we did not even know each other we still trusted that things would work out on both sides. He was already working on his design, but did not have a user to work in the field with it. I picked up Box #1 after it was finished and it didn't seem to sweep fast enough for me to possibly get results so back it went. While i was using #1 he was working on #2 trying get a different approach using AM as well as FM. Box took a little longer to make, but happens to be my box of choice and posted most of my results with. While i continued with #2 he was modifying #1 to duplicate #2's scanning methods even reversing the sweep and adding a headphone jack and making it louder to hear. Got box #1 back and still did not have results with it even though it was doing exactly what #2 was. After trying again and again with the newly modified #1 i started to get results, i guess it takes time for the other side to get used to a new box...who knows? He is now making #3 box, which up to this point none of my boxes have an echo chamber or random sweep only linear. The projects continue and hopefully the results will too. We e-mail regularly and i always share my results, which were by the way of e-mail until i made this site to post my files.

My name is Joe. I have been an electronics engineer until recently disabled. Because of this, I've started to work at home. Some projects are an inexpensive ghost shadow imaging panel and a simple ghost "radio" for reception of EVP voices without the recorder. I would like to build field instruments for ghost hunters. Also have a digital camera for ITC experiments. It's a nice digital Fuji s5200 5 megapixel but may not be a good ghost camera... some what poor IR or low light capabilities. I will try to use an external IR pass filter in daylight IR photos with the intention to write results as they come in. In the mean time I am setting up two modified Olympus c-2040 2.1 megapixel cameras for stereoscopic photos in infrared lighting..... 3D ghosts.....
